Our December 07' prediction of an uncoated freesheet price increase in Q3 or before, has         materialized sooner than anticipated.

 

Following right behind last months cut-size      increase, all major mills have announced increases of $3.00/cwt effective with shipments March 3rd. on all grades of uncoated freesheet including     Laser/Mocr.

 

The market is starting to adjust to the continued asset rationalization at the mills.

 

Last week, Fraser announced that they would  curtail production of two freesheet paper           machines at their Gorham N.H. mill; these two machines along with one taken down in 2007   represent 109,000 tons of annual production.
