Bowater Incorporated and Abitibi Consolidated have officially merged to form a new company with expanded product breadth,    increased efficiencies, new product innovation, and heightened logistical flexibility. We are committed to capturing the synergies afforded by our combined operations, which will result in a healthier company for our shareholders, customers and employees.

AbitibiBowater now markets over 40 paper grades containing recycled fiber. The new company is the largest recycler of old       newspapers and magazines in North America.            In addition, AbitibiBowater has more land that is 3rd party-certified for sustainable forestry than any other company in North America.

AbitibiBowater has the widest product breadth and depth of any North American-based      mechanical paper manufacturer. Our products are utilized daily in a wide variety of end uses including Publishing, Direct Mail, Catalogs, and Retail and Commercial applications.
